Dear All,<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The most important selection of portraits in Denmark is in the Museum of National History at Frederiksborg Castle<\/a>.  This museum now shows a new presentation of its  permanent collection and I feel privileged and happy that several of my works from this collection are displayed in the most beautiful way:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I) “The Contrapuntal Portrait<\/a>” painting by H.R.H. Princess Benedikte from 2021 which shows my concept “multiversal realism” and my love for the painter Vilhelm Hammersh\u00f8i in a royal portrait.<\/p>\n

II) The portrait (quadriptych) of Michala Petri<\/a>, whose official title is \u201cThe Interior and Exterior of the Air; the Instrument of Love\u201d from 2017. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This work is a very special example of my invention \u201cThe 4 temperaments’ synesthetic portraying method<\/a> \u201d: The model lets the music from the 4 movements of Carl Nielsen’s 2nd Symphony Opus 16; “The 4 temperaments”, take over the perception and the consciousness and thus shape the face; the invisible sound is visualized in four vastly different facial expressions of the same person.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This concept works primarily at 3 levels, that are perfectly compatible:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

    \n
  1. As a quadriptych in its own right.<\/li>\n
  2. As part of the whole process of creating a larger portrait painting.<\/li>\n
  3. As a synesthetic installation in a space where it is possible to listen to the music that shaped the facial expressions of the portraits.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
