These three paintings, all from Venice, have \u201dwater\u201d as the central theme. Furthermore, these paintings are also three examples of how, throughout my active years as a painter,\u00a0I\u00a0have\u00a0worked with splitting\u00a0up\u00a0the surface of the painting and\u00a0have been\u00a0using different types of canvases\u00a0to emphasize the state changes between the different fragments.\u00a0The relief configured by the wood covered with canvas is nearly always created first, without thinking about it or without having a concrete idea at the time. It is therefore normally a complicated process, rather than one driven by motivation, or more correctly the \u201cmotive\u201d finds the structure \u201cempty\u201d, or rather \u201copen\u201d, but perceives the encounter as something almost miraculous; as the moment in which\u00a0\u201cchance\u201d coincidences between the structure of the relief\u00a0fragments\u00a0and an exact composition appears\u00a0to become far too \u201crandom\u201d and take on an inevitability. As if they have fallen in love…<\/p>\n
