Eckersberg, that especially during my stays in Rome in 1980&#8217;s and 1990&#8217;s was of great importance to me. During these stays and since then as well, I&#8217;ve worked a lot with &#8220;the Eckersberg Method&#8221;: no use of photographs, a simple chair and easel in front of the motives.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is a few extracts from my text &#8220;The Act of Seeing and Eckersberg&#8221; in the catalogue for the exhibition.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8230;. I believe that it is the actual love of seeing that is the principal foundation of Eckersberg\u2019s talent for, and his results in painting. Visual perception naturally defined his entire way of thinking and his awareness of reality, science, philosophy and religion\u2026<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;. Erik Fischer\u2019s text, Eckersbergs harmoniske univers [Eckersberg\u2019s Harmonious Universe] and his examples of Eckersberg\u2019s awareness of what I have called <em>compositional energy <\/em>had a decisive influence on my painting and my reflections on it. \u201cHowever, drama in Eckersberg is synonymous with movements and tensions in the force field of the painting\u2019s space&#8221;, says Erik Fischer, \u2013 <em>THE FORCE FIELD OF THE PAINTING\u2019S SPACE! <\/em>Experiencing the surface of a picture as an energetic force field is a wonderful description of the actual space in the act of painting, it&#8217;s COSMOS\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201dPerfectly imperfect.
